Pemilihan Core Bit



INTEQ coring bits have high resistance to abrasion and can last through long bit runs because they are fabricated with erosion-resistant tungsten carbide matrix bodies. Cutters designed of polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) materials, natural diamonds and Ballaset® thermally stable synthetic diamonds provide a wide range of performance characteristics suitable for coring in any formation.
  • PDC cutters deliver high penetration rates and long bit life. They maintain a sharp cutting edge in soft to moderately hard formations.

Pemerintah Tunjuk Penilai Listrik Panas Bumi



VIVAnews - Pemerintah akan menunjuk independent apprasial (tim penilai) untuk menjembatani dispartitas harga jual listrik panas bumi antara pengembang listrik swasta panas bumi (IPP) dan PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN persero).

Menurut Direktur Jenderal Listrik dan Pemanfaatan Energi (LPE) J Purwono, dengan adanya penilai independen itu diharapkan bisa segera mencapai kesepakatan.
"Juli kita targetkan selesai," ujar dia di Gedung Komisi Energi DPR Jakarta, Selasa, 16 Juni 2009.

Nantinya, kata dia, harga tersebut dapat dijadikan PLN sebagai Harga Patokan Sendiri (HPS) untuk tender proyek pembangkit listrik panas bumi yang akan masuk dalam proyek percepatan 10 ribu Megawatt (MW) tahap kedua.

Diharapkan harga yang ditetapkan tim penilai merupakan harga yang fix dan sesuai dengan harga keekonomian, sehingga bisa dipakai dalam waktu jangka panjang.

Pasalnya, proyek panas bumi tidak terlalu berpengaruh pada fluktuasi harga komoditas bahan bakar seperti minyak, gas atau pun batu bara. "Kalau panas bumi mengacu pada fluktuasi harga indeks, harganya lebih murah dan stabil," tutur Purwono.

Seperti diketahui, PLN meminta harga jual listrik panas bumi sebesar US$7 sen per kwh. Sedangkan PLN meminta harga beli dari pihak swasta US$9 sen perkwh.

Purwono menjamin, kendati nantinya ditambah pembangkit berbahan bakar panas bumi namun tidak akan membuat anggaran subsidi membengkak.

Diamond Core Bit




Natural diamond bits employ comparatively large natural diamonds that are cast directly into a tungsten carbide matrix crown. The diamonds provide smooth cutting surfaces for improved wear during coring in medium to hard formations.

Each C-Series coring bit is manufactured to match specific applications. Various grades, sizes, and concentrations of natural diamonds in these bits match specified criteria. The stones are surface-set in custom designed bit bodies for high performance and long bit life.

Service Application

Natural diamond bits are offered in a variety of styles for both rotary coring and motor coring applications. A C201 bit and drill plug are also available for CoreDrill® bits.

Harga Minyak Indonesia US$ 50,62/Barell


Harga rata-rata minyak mentah Indonesia Crude Price (ICP) hingga April mencapai angka US$ 50,62 per barel.

Angka ini mengalami kenaikan US$3,67 per barel dari ICP bulan sebelumnya yaitu US$ 46,59 per barel.

Berdasarkan data yang dikutip VIVAnews, Sabtu 2 mei 2009 dari situs Direktorat jenderal Minyak dan Gas Bumi (Dirjen Migas) DESDM menjelaskan, perhitungan ini mengacu pada formula ICP. Sementara untuk harga Minas/SLC untuk April sebesar US$ 53,45 per barel, naik US$ 4,94 per barel dari bulan Maret yang mencapai US$ 48,51 per barel.

Peningkatan harga minyak mentah Indonesia ini sejalan dengan harga minyak mentah utama di pasar internasional yang disebabkan beberapa faktor, antara lain optimisme pasar akan mulai bangkitnya pertumbuhan perekonomian dunia, sehubungan dengan kesepakatan Negara-negara anggota G20 dalam pertemuan tanggal 2 April 2009 di London, untuk mengalokasikan dana bantuan sebesar US$ 1,1 triliun kepada IMF dan institusi keuangan dunia lainnya dalam masa resesi saat ini.

Selain itu, menguatnya bursa saham dunia terutama Wall St-AS, sehubungan dengan laporan peningkatan pendapatan beberapa perusahaan besar seperti Wells Fargo Bank, Citigroup, General Electric dan Google pada kuartal I tahun 2009, sehingga memberikan harapan terjadinya perbaikan pada sektor finansial serta menurunnya produksi minyak mentah OPEC sebesar 0,145 juta barel per hari menjadi 27,90 juta barel per hari sebagai dampak semakin meningkatnya kepatuhan (compliance) anggota OPEC dalam mengimplementasikan kesepakatan pemotongan produksinya. Saat ini tingkat compliance mencapai 83 persen.

Melemahnya nilai tukar dolar AS terhadap euro yang dipicu oleh peningkatan kegiatan industri dan perbankan di Eropa sehingga meningkatkan daya tarik investor terhadap komoditas seperti minyak mentah dan kekhawatiran pasar mengenai kemungkinan terganggunya suplai minyak mentah dari Nigeria terutama akibat serangan kelompok militan terhadap fasilitas pipa minyak di wilayah Niger Delta, Nigeria, pada pertengahan April 2009 yang telah menyebabkan kebakaran dan ditutupnya jalur pipa utama serta stasiun-stasiun pemompa yang berdekatan sehingga menghasilkan penghentian produksi sebesar 0,18 juta barel per hari.

Untuk kawasan Asia Pasifik, selain disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor tersebut, peningkatan harga minyak juga disebabkan oleh penundaan pengoperasian kembali unit PLTN No 7 Stasiun Kashiwazaki Kariwa milik TEPCO hingga paling cepat pada pertengahan Mei 2009 dan meningkatnya tingkat pengolahan minyak mentah kilang-kilang di Cina pada bulan April 2009 yang mengindikasikan mulai berhasilnya program stimulus ekonomi pemerintah Cina yang berdampak terhadap membaiknya permintaan energi, termasuk minyak.

Coring





Through coring, engineers, geologists and petrophysicists gain access to accurate and representative reservoir information to enhance the geological and petrophysical models. Data on the formation's lithology, flow characteristics, storage capacity and production potential are just a few of the valuable types of information that can be obtained by a successful coring program.

Coring Definition - Coring is the removal of continuous formation sample from a wellbore. To the extent possible, core samples are recovered undamaged, preserving the physical and mechanical integrity of the rock. The formation material may be solid rock, friable rock, conglomerates, unconsolidated sands, coal, shales, gumbos, or clays. Coring can be conducted by various methods with a variety of tools in a wide range of hole sizes.

The Purpose of Coring - Laboratory measurements performed on core samples recovered from hydrocarbon reservoirs provide reservoir properties and descriptive data not available from any other source. While well logs play a very important role in reservoir characterization, core material is needed to add a high degree of certainty in calibrating the data obtained from these tools.

Evaluation data gained from core samples fall into several general categories:
  • geological
  • petrophysical
  • completion/production
  • engineering


The objective of taking cores changes with the drilling program across the field and can vary from well to well. The goals of drilling engineers, reservoir engineers, geologists, petrophysicists and core analysts may not be the same, pointing out the need for a team approach in planning coring operations.

Service Application

Baker Hughes provides a complete range of coring services to obtain formation samples that yield data about the reservoir, such as rock properties, water saturation and wettability. With a full line of coring systems, we can match the technology to the formation to be cored.

One recent advance is the HT60 System developed for 12¼" hole deepwater applications. The system is modular and incorporates technologies to recover quality samples, enhance recovery and increase coring performances. HydroLiftTM, JamBusterTM, CoreGelTM and Genesis® core bit technologies are fully integrated with the HT60 core barrel.

Our CoreDrill and CoreDrill III systems are cost effective alternatives to conventional coring methods that enables the operator to selectively drill and core without tripping the bottom hole assembly to surface.
