Baker Hughes is an industry leader in Surface Logging Systems (Mud Logging), which is offered as a standalone or integrated service combined with other INTEQ Services. All INTEQ field operations are supported on the same PC based platform, the Powerful and proven AdvantageSM system, which allows for a truly integrated, cross product line, service. The wellsite personnel benefit from single data entry with information openly flowing across all product lines, allowing field engineers to focus on their core area of expertise.
With over 50 years of Surface Logging experience, INTEQ SLS operates all over the world, with ongoing operations in 28 countries and prides itself on quality service delivery, with cutting edge technology and highly trained personnel, needed for today's challenging drilling and FE demands. Our rig-site geologists and engineers use the specialist software modules of the AdvantageSM system to acquire and store lithological data that is combined with engineering data collected from surface sensors and downhole services to provide integrated formation evaluation, monitoring of drilling performance and operational safety.
The Surface Logging Services (SLS) cabin fleet is maintained and updated so as to provide a safe and reliable environment for the provision of wellsite services. Data from all INTEQ services can be integrated and transmitted through the RigLink® system to make your well data available to you on your desktop via the internet in a secure and easy to use fashion.
The Advantage system is also capable of transmitting and receiving the WITS protocol, to level 2B standards. INTEQ has also been a leading member of the new WITSML industry standard development.
Advanced Gas Analysis
INTEQ uses the Agilent 6890GC for high accuracy and sensitivity in gas monitoring and evaluation. Modified to INTEQ specifications, it has independent Total Gas and Chromatographic detectors, with resolution down to 1ppm, and fast cycle times, (52 seconds) with perfect C1/C2 peak separation. This sets the industry standard in accuracy and reliability
Software Integration
The 6890 is networked for remote control with output and gas ratio calculation performed in realtime for output. This can give 'quick-look' capability for fluid typing and fluid contact information
Safety Monitoring
The Advantage system monitors drilling fluid parameters linked to an alarm system to give early warning of potential problems. The Flowback Monitor characterizes the mud flow back to the pits when circulation stops and 'learns' what is normal behaviour. Alarms are set to catch irregular flowback as quickly as possible to allow for reaction to potentially dangerous situations such as an kick.
INTEQ's SLS system contains an H2S detector as standard monitoring gas at all times in the circulating system. Optional CO2 detection is also available.
